Division B of District 124 hosts ToastFest 2025 at BUET Graduate Club

Division B of District 124, Toastmasters International successfully organised ToastFest 2025 on November 29 at the BUET Graduate Club, bringing together speakers, leaders, and communication enthusiasts for an inspiring day of learning and celebration.

Toastmasters International is a global nonprofit educational organisation dedicated to helping individuals improve their public speaking, communication, and leadership skills with more than 280,000 members across 15,000+ clubs in 140 countries, said a press release.

The event proudly hosted two Division-level contests — the Speech Evaluation Contest and the Humorous Speech Contest — where contestants from various clubs showcased sharp analytical skills, creativity, and captivating delivery. Their performances highlighted the effectiveness of the Toastmasters educational framework in developing confident and impactful communicators.

A major highlight of ToastFest was the Keynote Address delivered by Quazi M. Ahmed, globally recognised trainer, speaker, and leadership consultant. 

Speaking on the theme “Communicating You through Life,” Ahmed engaged the audience with transformative insights on personal expression, authentic communication, and purposeful living.

Adding further depth to the event, attendees experienced an enriching Panel Discussion featuring renowned news presenter Farzana Karim and Chief Communication Officer of UCB PLC Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq. 

The session was moderated by Fayez Uddin Ahmad, Division B Director, who skillfully navigated conversations on communication, media evolution, corporate messaging, and the art of influencing audiences in modern times.

The atmosphere remained energetic throughout, as Toastmasters from the community relished the sessions, exchanged ideas, and celebrated the achievements of the contestants. The programme concluded with heartfelt appreciation from the Golam Dastagir Jony, Program Quality Director (PQD) of District 124, who thanked all attendees, volunteers, and leaders for making ToastFest 2025 a memorable success.
