EC sends letter to BTV-Betar to prepare for broadcasting of CEC's speech

The schedule for the 13th National Assembly election and referendum is scheduled to be announced this week. 

The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) will announce the schedule in a speech broadcast on Bangladesh Television (BTV). 

The EC has already written to state-owned television channels BTV and Bangladesh Betar to be ready to record and broadcast the speech. 

EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed confirmed this information on Monday.

The EC Secretary said that the EC has written to Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar to record the Chief Election Commissioner's speech. 

The recording has been called on December 10. However, the commission will inform when the recording will be done.

Sources said that the schedule may be announced on Thursday (December 11). And the 13th National Assembly election and referendum may be held on February 12. However, there is a possibility of February 8 and 10.

The Election Commission has already completed all the preparations for announcing the schedule of the vote. 

The constitutional body met with Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus and informed about their preparations.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the outcome. He directed the Election Commission to deliver a fair, beautiful and historic election.
