Hadi's janaza at South Plaza of Sangsad Bhaban at 2:30 pm on Saturday

The namaj-e-janaza for Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi is scheduled to take place at 2:30 pm on Saturday at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in Dhaka.

This was confirmed by the Chief Adviser's Press Wing on Thursday evening.

The press wing has urged attendees to refrain from bringing bags or heavy objects for security reasons.

Additionally, the government has prohibited the flying of drones in and around the Sangsad Bhaban area during the janaza.

Earlier, the body of Sharif Osman Hadi—who passed away on Thursday night while receiving treatment in Singapore—was repatriated via Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight BG 585, arriving at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at approximately 5:48 pm.

Hadi, a prominent frontline leader in the July Uprising, spokesperson for Inqilab Mancha, and an aspiring independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, was shot on December 12 while traveling in a battery-operated auto-rickshaw in Dhaka's Paltan area.

He was initially rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, then transferred to Evercare Hospital as his condition worsened, before being airlifted to Singapore on December 15 for advanced treatment.
