20 platoons BGB deployed in capital ahead of Osman Hadi's funeral

The authorities have deployed 20 platoons of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) across the capital to ensure overall law and order during the Namaj-e-Janaza of Shaheed Sharif Osman bin Hadi, convenor of Inqilab Mancho.

Public Relations Officer of the para-military force Md Shariful Islam confirmed the deployment.

The BGB personnel, equipped with body-worn cameras and riot control gear, have been stationed at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaba and other key locations in the city.

Law enforcement agencies are working in coordination to ensure the event is held peacefully, while citizens have been urged to cooperate with security measures.
