Lawyer allegedly beaten to death in Dhaka

A lawyer was allegedly beaten to death at the Basundhara Residential Area in Dhaka on Wednesday night. 

The deceased was identified as Naim Kibria, 35. Vatara Police Station Officer in Charge Imaul Haque confirmed the matter to the Daily Samakal on Thursday. 

The OC said the lawyer was driving his car through the area when the vehicle hit a motorbike. He engaged in a verbal altercation with the biker in the area. At one point, the bikers attacked the man. He was beaten unconscious, at which point he was rushed to a hospital. The duty doctor declared him dead. 

Naim Kibria's father filed a case in this incident, the OC said.
