Family members, including granddaughter Jaima, visit Khaleda Zia's grave

Family members, including granddaughter Zaima Rahman, visited the grave of former BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

They went to pay their respects at the grave at Zia Udyan in the capital at around 10:30 am on Friday.

Sharmila Rahman, wife of Khaleda Zia's younger son Arafat Rahman Koko, his daughter Zahia Rahman and other family members were present at the time.

During the grave visit, they stood next to the grave and recited the Holy Quran. Then they offered prayers and supplications. After staying there for about 20 minutes, the family members left graveyard.

The grave was open for the general public to visit and recite prayers since the dawn prayers. However, the entry of general visitors was temporarily closed for about an hour due to the arrival of family members, including Zaima Rahman.

On Thursday, BNP leaders and activists and common people prayed and paid their respects at Khaleda Zia's grave.

Khaleda Zia died while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital on Tuesday. Khaleda Zia's funeral and burial were held the next day. Countless people, regardless of party affiliation, attended Khaleda Zia's funeral. After the funeral, Khaleda Zia was buried next to the grave of her husband, former President and BNP founder Ziaur Rahman, at Zia Udyan.
