11 held in day-long operation in Rupnagar

Police have arrested 11 individuals in a day-long special operation conducted in different areas under the Rupnagar Police Station in Dhaka's Mirpur, aimed at maintaining law and order in the capital.

The operation was carried out on Wednesday, during which the police detained individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

The arrested persons are Md. Sumon Molla (32), Md. Parvez (23), Md. Ujjal (25), Md. Jalil (52), Md. Iqbal (46), Mirajul Islam (19), Md. Sabuj Sheikh (24), Md. Hridoy (20), Shakil Hossain (32), Md. Siraj (35), and Md. Kamrunnahar (52).

Deputy Commissioner of the Detective Branch (DB), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed their arrests.

Following their arrest, all the accused were produced before the Special Metropolitan Magistrate.

Rupnagar Police officials stated that such special operations will continue in the future to curb crime and ensure public safety in the area.
