Oxford International School hosts vibrant annual sports day

Oxford International School (OIS), one of Dhaka's leading English-medium institutions, successfully held its Annual Sports Day for the 2025–26 academic session on Friday, 30 January 2026.

The event took place at the Government College of Physical Education on Satmasjid Road in Mohammadpur, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, parents, and guests.

The occasion highlighted the school's dedication to holistic education, blending physical fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship with academic pursuits.

The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest Surayya Akhtar Jahan, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Local Government & Rural Development.

In her address, she underscored the vital role of sports in building confident, disciplined, and resilient individuals, complementing excellence in academics.

Students across various grades took part in an exciting lineup of events, including track and field competitions, team games, and coordinated drills. Their displays of energy, coordination, and teamwork were widely praised, reflecting OIS's commitment to nurturing well-rounded learners.

Senior school management, faculty, and staff were on hand throughout the day to support participants and ensure seamless proceedings.

The event wrapped up with a prize distribution ceremony, honouring top performers and motivating students to strive for success in both sports and studies.
