BB sets banking hours for Ramadan

During the Holy month of Ramadan, Bangladesh Bank has set the office hours for all scheduled banks in the country from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Customers, however, will be able to carry out banking transactions only from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, as outlined in a circular issued by the central bank on Tuesday.

Bank staff will have a 15-minute break from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm to offer Zuhr prayers. The notice from Bangladesh Bank also states that the regular office and banking hours will resume after Ramadan ends.
