MP-Cabinet swearing-in ceremony at South Plaza of Parliament: Law Adviser

The swearing-in ceremony for newly elected MPs and the new cabinet will take place at the South Plaza of the National Parliament on Tuesday, February 17.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul announced this while speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Sunday afternoon.

The MPs' oath-taking is scheduled for 10 am, to be administered by the Chief Election Commissioner, while the cabinet oath-taking will occur at 4 pm, administered by the President.

The cabinet ceremony is being held at the South Plaza in line with the BNP's preference.

Invitations will follow established conventions, with the Cabinet Division handling the details.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited foreign ministers from SAARC countries, but no prime ministers are being invited as far as Asif Nazrul is aware.

When asked about his own possible inclusion in the cabinet, the Law Adviser stated there is no question of his presence in it.
