Gazette on distribution of advisers’ responsibilities published

A gazette notification has been published outlining the distribution of responsibilities among advisers appointed with the rank of minister and state minister.

The notification, signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani, was issued on Tuesday.

In line with Rule 3B(ii) of the Rules of Business, 1996, the Prime Minister has assigned these responsibilities.

Among the advisers granted the rank of minister, Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed have been appointed as political advisers.

Md Ismail Zabiullah has been designated as adviser to the Ministry of Public Administration, while Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir has been assigned as adviser to the Ministry of Finance and Planning.

The advisers appointed with the rank of state minister have received the following assignments: Humayun Kabir will handle the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism; Brigadier General (Retd) Shamsul Islam has been given responsibility for the Ministry of Defence; Dr Zahed Ur Rahman will oversee Policy and Strategy; Mahdi Amin has been assigned the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment; and Rehan Asif Asad will manage the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, along with the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The order takes immediate effect.
