Junior Scholarship results published

The results of the Junior Scholarship Examination, along with the Dakhil 8th Class, Ebtedayi 5th Class, Junior Scholarship, and Junior Diploma Vocational Scholarship Examinations, have been officially published. 

A total of 46,200 students have been awarded scholarships under the nine general education boards. Of these, 14,700 students have received merit scholarships, while 31,500 students have been granted general scholarships.

The Education Minister, ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon, and the State Minister for Education, Bobby Hajjaj, formally announced the results at the Ministry of Education on Wednesday. 

The 2025 Junior Scholarship Examination covered the subjects of Bengali with subject code 101, English with subject code 107, Mathematics with subject code 109, Science with subject code 127, and Bangladesh and World Introduction with subject code 150. 

The examination was conducted simultaneously across the country on December 28 of the previous year, beginning at 10:00 am and ending at 1:00 pm. 

Approximately 350,000 students participated in the examination, which took place at 611 centers nationwide.

The Bengali subject examination was held on the first day. The English subject examination took place on December 29, and the Mathematics subject examination was conducted on December 30. 

However, the Science and Bangladesh and World History subject examinations, originally scheduled for December 31, were postponed due to the death of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. 

These postponed examinations were later held on January 5, 2026. The evaluation of all answer sheets has now been fully completed.

Students may check their results online by visiting the website of the Directorate of Primary Education, entering their roll number and the year 2026 in the Scholarship Result option. 

Alternatively, they can send a short message from their mobile phone to 16222, writing the name of the board, their roll number, and the year 2026; the result will be delivered in the reply message.

Those present at the announcement included the State Minister for Education and Primary and Mass Education, Bobby Hajjaj; the President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka, Professor Dr. Khandokar Ehsanul Kabir; the Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Committee, Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider; and the Examination Controller of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka.
