Major reshuffles in Bangladesh Army

The Bangladesh Army has carried out another round of reshuffles in its senior leadership, affecting six key high-ranking positions. 

An official order to this effect was issued from Army Headquarters on Thursday, as confirmed by sources at the Ministry of Defence and Army Headquarters. 

This comes shortly after a previous reshuffle of eight senior posts on Sunday.

Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, who was serving as Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), has been appointed as the new Quartermaster General (QMG). 

He replaces Lieutenant General Faizur Rahman in that role, with Lt Gen Faizur Rahman now transferred to become the Commandant of the NDC.

Major General Md. Nasim Parvez, previously Commandant of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), has been reassigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Major General Mohammad Hossain Al Morshed, formerly General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 19 Infantry Division, has taken up the position of Adjutant General (AG) at Army Headquarters.

Major General Mohammad Hakimuzzaman, the outgoing Adjutant General, has been appointed as the new Commandant of MIST. 

Additionally, Major General Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, who was GOC of the 66 Infantry Division, has been transferred to serve as GOC of the Logistics Area.
