Thunderstorms may occur in Dhaka and surrounding areas by noon

The Meteorological Department forecasts that rain or thunderstorms are likely to affect Dhaka and surrounding areas by noon today, accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h.

According to the 7 am weather update issued on Friday for the capital and nearby regions, daytime temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged.

At 6 am, Dhaka recorded 25°C with 88% humidity.

The sky is anticipated to stay partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy through the morning and into noon. Winds will generally blow from the south or southwest at 10–15 km/h, occasionally strengthening with temporary gusts of 40–50 km/h.
