Tarique Rahman, Shahbaz Sharif exchange Eid greetings

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif exchanged greetings over the telephone on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. 

During the conversation, the top leaders of the two countries exchanged greetings and discussed various issues of bilateral interest.

The Pakistani Prime Minister's Office reported the telephone conversation between the two leaders on Friday, the day before Eid.

In an X-post, the Pakistani Prime Minister's Office said that during a very cordial and sincere conversation, Shahbaz Sharif conveyed Eid greetings to Tarique Rahman and the people of Bangladesh.

Recalling the historical and brotherly relations existing between the two countries, he assured Tarique Rahman that Pakistan is firmly committed to further strengthening bilateral cooperation with Bangladesh in all fields.

The post said that both leaders also discussed the regional situation in South Asia and the situation in the Middle East. They emphasised dialogue and diplomacy to resolve differences and disputes.

In response to Shahbaz Sharif's Eid greetings, Tarique Rahman extended his best wishes to the people of Pakistan. The X-Post further said that both leaders expressed their hope to work closely in the coming days to achieve the common goal of regional and global peace and stability.
