New DCs appointed in 11 districts

New Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and District Magistrates have been appointed in 11 districts across the country. 

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Sunday announcing the appointments.

Following the order of the President, 11 officers from the BCS (Administration) cadre have been transferred and posted to these districts.

The notification, signed by the ministry’s Deputy Secretary Aminul Islam, stated that the transfers have been made in the public interest and will take effect immediately.

The new DCs are as follows:

Kazi Shahidul Islam, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has been transferred to Rajshahi.  

Lutfun Nahar, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been posted to Chuadanga.  

Hurre Jannat, Deputy Secretary of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, has been transferred to Khulna.  

Morjina Akhter, Deputy Secretary of the Finance Department under the Ministry of Commerce, has been posted to Madaripur.  

Md. Abu Sayeed, Deputy Director of the Government Printing Press, has been appointed as DC of Brahmanbaria.  

Ahmed Ziaur Rahman, Deputy Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department, has been posted to Chandpur.  

GM Sarfaraz, Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Division, has been appointed as DC of Habiganj.  

Israt Jahan Key, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, has been posted to Narsingdi.  

Shilpi Rani Roy, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, has been transferred to Meherpur.  

Rashedul Haque Pradhan, Deputy Secretary of the Power Development Board, has been appointed as DC of Lalmonirhat.  

Md. Saniul Ferdous, Deputy Project Director of the Land Management Automation Project, has been posted as DC of Bandarban.

According to the notification, the newly appointed officers will serve as Deputy Commissioners and District Magistrates in their respective districts. 

A copy of the order has been sent to the concerned ministries, divisions, and district administrations for necessary action.

In a separate notification, the previous DCs of these 11 districts have been withdrawn and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration for further posting.
