Four killed in truck, auto-rickshaw collision in Mymensingh

Four people, including three women, were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Muktagachha upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 12:15 pm in Mantala Samity Ghar area on the Mymensingh-Tangail highway when a sand-laden truck traveling toward Mymensingh collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving three female passengers dead on the spot and injured another.

The injured was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Fire Service personnel recovered the bodies.

Authorities confirmed that the identities of the deceased women could not be immediately known. The bodies were handed over to the police for further procedures.

Muktagachha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kamrul Hasan confirmed the matter.
