Govt removes Power Division Secretary Farzana Momtaz

The government has reshuffled the post of Secretary of the Power Division. 

Farzana Momtaz has been removed and Additional Secretary Mirana Mahrukh, attached to the Economic Relations Department, has been promoted to the post. 

Two separate notifications were issued in this regard from the Senior Appointments Branch 1 of the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday.

In one notification, Secretary of the Power Division Farzana Momtaz has been transferred and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration. 

In another notification, Mirana Mahrukh has been promoted to the post of secretary and posted to the Power Division. 

Both notifications state that this order issued in the public interest will come into effect immediately.

Farzana Momtaz became secretary of the Power Division on October 6, 2024 after being promoted from additional secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture.
