Fire in Kalshi slum, 4 units working to tame blaze

A fire broke out in the Kalshi slum of Pallabi in the capital on Monday evening.
The fire service reached the spot after receiving the information and started extinguishing the fire.
Fire Service Media Cell Officer Anwarul Islam said that five units left for the spot immediately after receiving the information. Four of them have reached the spot and are working to control the fire.
Three more units are on the way, they said.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not immediately known.
The Fire Service said that details will be announced after the fire is brought under control.
Fire extinguishing activities were ongoing as of the writing of this report.
