Verdict in Pallabi rape-murder case on Sunday

The court has fixed Sunday for the verdict in the case of the brutal rape and murder of an eight-year-old child in the capital's Pallabi.

On Thursday, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Children Violence Suppression Prevention Tribunal Judge Masrur Salekin set the verdict for on Thursday after presenting the arguments of the state and the accused in the case.

On this day, state-appointed lawyer Musa Kalimullah presented the arguments on behalf of the two accused Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Akhter in the court. 

At that time, he claimed the innocence of the accused and sought their acquittal.

On the other hand, the state's strategic special PP Azizur Rahman Dulu said that they were able to prove the truth of the allegations. 

He also demanded the death penalty for the accused.
