5 DIGs made additional IGPs

Five officers of the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) have been promoted to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police (Additional IGP). 

In addition, the government has promoted two additional IGPs to Grade-1. Two separate notifications in this regard were issued by the Home Ministry on Thursday.

The notification said that the five officers promoted to the post of Additional IGP have been promoted to Grade-2 of the National Pay Scale 2015 and two police officers of the rank of Additional IGP have been promoted to Grade-1. 

The promoted officers will submit their joining letters to the Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry through the appropriate authority, it said.

The five officers who have been promoted from DIG to Additional IGP are – Sylhet Range DIG Mushfequr Rahman, NSI Director (DIG) Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Chittagong Range DIG Moniruzzaman, RAB Additional Director General (DIG) Faruk Ahmed and Dhaka Range DIG Rezaul Karim Mallick.

The two officers who received Grade-1 of the Additional IGP rank are – Highway Police Additional IGP Delwar Hossain Miah, and Police Headquarters Additional IGP AKM Awlad Hossain.
