Social allowances to continue

Elderly allowance, widow and husband abuse allowance will continue, said Finance Minister Amir Khaoru Mahmud Chowdhury.

Khosru  is presenting the proposed budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year at 3 pm on Thursday. 

He is presenting a budget of Tk 9.38 trillion for the next fiscal year in the National Parliament. 

This is the first budget of his life as finance minister. It is also the first budget of the BNP government formed through the national February elections.
