7 DAGs, 11 AAGs resign simultaneously

Seven Deputy Attorneys General (DAG) and 11 Assistant Attorneys General (AAG), who are handling cases for the state in the Supreme Court, have resigned simultaneously. 

They have submitted their resignation letters to the administrative officer of the Attorney General’s Office.

Administrative officer Nasiruddin confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

The resigning DAGs are - Advocate Yusuf Ali, Advocate Shafiqur Rahman, Advocate Abdul Karim, Advocate Farid Uddin Khan, Advocate Golam Rahman Bhuiyan, Advocate Muhammad Tariqul Islam, and Advocate Asad Uddin.

The AAGs are Imrul Kayes Rana, Humayun Kabir Tanim, Abdul Qayyum Bhuiyan, Abdullahil Marf Fahim, Joadur Rahman, Shamsil Arefin, Mahbubba Akhter Roli, Nur Nabi Ujjal, Al Reza Amir, Rezaul Islam and Md. Zakir Hossain. 

However, details behind the reasons for the mass resignation were not immediately known.
