5 die from dengue today

Five people died from dengue and 124 others were admitted to hospitals across the country with the mosquito-borne disease in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the victims, two were men and three were women, said a DGHS press release.

With the latest figure, the death toll from dengue this year is 18.

Meanwhile, a total of 5,924 people have been infected with dengue this year.
