5 more children die of measles symptoms

Five more people have died of measles symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours. During this period, 154 more people have been diagnosed with measles in their samples.

This information was given in the regular report on measles by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday.

The report said that 93 people have died of measles across the country since March 15. In addition, 631 people have died with measles symptoms.

So far, the highest number of 272 people has died with measles symptoms in Dhaka division. 

In addition, 88 people have died in Rajshahi division, 82 in Sylhet, 51 in Chattogram, 40 in Barishal, 62 in Mymensingh, 28 in Khulna and eight in Rangpur.

The DGHS says that 965 people have come to the hospital with measles symptoms in the 24 hours since 8am on Wednesday. Of them, 902 have been admitted to various hospitals in the country. Of them, 372 people are in Dhaka division, 44 in Rajshahi, 87 in Sylhet, 180 in Chattogram, 107 in Barishal, 58 in Mymensingh, 41 in Khulna, and 17 in Rangpur are being treated in hospitals.

Since March 15, a total of 102,993 people have come to hospitals across the country with measles symptoms. Of them, 12,286 have been confirmed infected in sample tests.

During this period, 86,411 people have been admitted to hospitals in various hospitals of the country with measles symptoms. Of them, 82,759 have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.
