Shakti Foundation's Imran Ahmed gets award for social welfare activities

Imran Ahmed, Deputy Executive Director of Shakti Foundation for Disadvantaged Women, has recently received the "Award for Social Welfare Activities".

He bagged the award in recognition of his pioneering role in the digital transformation of Bangladesh's microfinance sector, said a press release.

Kazi Md. Shafiqur Rahman, President of the Bankers' Welfare Association Bangladesh (BWAB), presented the award to Imran Ahmed during the 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Sayeman Beach Resort, Cox's Bazar on Friday.

This award is recognition of accelerating organisational operations through digital innovation and easing financial services for marginalised women. 

At the same time, it reflects his outstanding contribution to social welfare and a strong commitment to technology-driven, inclusive financial empowerment.
