Directive to keep three books in govt pry schools cancelled

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has cancelled the directive to preserve three books in all government primary schools of the country. 

The three books include ‘President Zia: Political Biography’, ‘Begum Khaleda Zia: Life and Struggle’ and ‘Bangladesh First’

On June 3, the ministry had given a directive to the Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education to take necessary measures in this regard.

On Monday, Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Md. Sakhawat Hossain told Daily Samakal that the previous instructions given by the ministry are being cancelled.

It is learned that last month, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education issued a directive to the Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education titled ‘Preserving one set of books (comprising three books) for reading in the library of each government primary school. 

In the directive, it was requested to take necessary measures to preserve one set of books consisting of the above three books.
