Heavy rain forecast for five consecutive days

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions for the next five days. This information was given in the weather forecast for the next 120 hours from 9 am on Wednesday.

The Meteorological Department said that the monsoon low pressure area located in Chhattisgarh and adjacent areas of India has weakened and is currently located as a clear low pressure area in Madhya Pradesh and adjacent Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, the monsoon is active over Bangladesh and is in a strong position in the north Bay of Bengal.

The forecast says that rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds may occur in most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions on Wednesday. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. The temperature during the day may decrease slightly.

On Thursday, rain or thunderstorms may occur in most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in different parts of the country today. The temperature may remain almost unchanged.

On Friday, rain or thunderstorms may occur in most places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and in many places of Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions. Moderate heavy rainfall is expected in some places.

On Saturday, rain or thunderstorms may occur in most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Moderate heavy rainfall may occur in some places of the country. The temperature during the day may increase slightly.

On Sunday, rain or thunderstorms may occur in many places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and in some places of Dhaka and Khulna divisions. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in these divisions. Day and night temperatures may increase slightly.
