Govt appoints 86 DAGs, 179 AAGs after revoking previous appointments

The government has appointed 86 Supreme Court lawyers as deputy attorneys general (DAGs) and 179 lawyers as assistant attorneys general (AAGs).

The appointments were made after revoking the appointments of all previously appointed DAGs and AAGs, according to two separate notifications of Solicitor Wing of the Ministry of Law..

On Thursday, the president made the appointments under Article 3(1) of the Bangladesh Law Officers Order, 1972 (President's Order No. 6 of 1972).

According to the notifications, the appointments will remain effective until further orders.
