Rain to continue for five days across the country

The trend of rain with gusty winds and thundershowers may continue in different parts of the country for the next four days.

There is also a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in some parts of the country at this time. 

However, the trend of rainfall may decrease towards the end of the next five days. This information was given by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in the weather forecast for the next 120 hours from 9 am on Saturday.

The BMD said that the low pressure located in Madhya Pradesh and adjacent areas has moved west-northwestwards and turned into a clear low pressure in Rajasthan and adjacent areas and joined the axis of the monsoon. 

The extension of the monsoon axis extends over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and southern parts of Bangladesh to Assam. 

The monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and is in a moderate state in the North Bay of Bengal.

From 9 am on Saturday, light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds are likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at some places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions in the next 24 hours. 

At the same time there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain at some places in the country.

On Sunday, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at some places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. 

Moderate to heavy rain is also likely at some places.

On Monday, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions and at some places in Dhaka, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall at some places today as well.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds are likely at many places in eight divisions of the country on Tuesday. 

At the same time there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in the country.

On Wednesday, most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and many places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions may experience rain or thundershowers. 

Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions during this time.

The BMD said that the rainfall trend may decrease towards the end of the next five days.
