LPG price rises by Tk 70 for 12kg cylinder

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of a 12-kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder, which is widely used in households, by Tk 70 at the consumer level. 

As a result, the new price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder at the consumer level has been fixed at Tk 1,598, which was Tk1,528 before the price increase.

BERC issued a separate order and press release in this regard on Sunday. 

The new price will be effective from 6 pm on the same day and will remain in force until further orders.

BERC said that the prices of private LPG and autogas have been revised considering the increase in the prices of propane and butane in the international market, shipping fares, trader premiums and the US dollar exchange rate.
