New date for joining primary assistant teachers October 1

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has announced a new decision on the joining date of 14,384 teachers recommended for the vacant posts of Government Primary School Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025. 

The candidates who receive the final recommendation will join the District Primary Education Office of the respective district on October 1 instead of October 29. 

They will be posted later on October 4.

This information was given in a notification from the School-2 branch of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Sunday.

The notification signed by Deputy Secretary Rajiv Kumar Sarkar said that the selected candidates for the vacant posts will be sent appointment letters in due time. After joining, they will be posted and later sent for professional training.

In an emergency virtual meeting held at the ministry on Saturday, the initial date for joining primary teachers was set at October 29. After the meeting, Primary and Mass Education Secretary Md Sakhawat Hossain had said that although the joining has been delayed due to investigation and other procedural delays, the government wants to complete the posting of teachers within the shortest possible time.

According to the new decision, October 1 has been confirmed as the final date for joining.

According to ministry sources, through this process, 14,384 assistant teachers will be posted after joining their respective district primary education offices. Training will be organised to enhance the professional skills of teachers after the posting process is completed.
