Govt to procure one LNG cargo from Aramco Trading Singapore

The government on Friday approved a proposal to purchase one liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from Aramco Trading Singapore Pte. Ltd. under the government-to-government (G2G) arrangement through the direct procurement method.

The approval came at the 8th meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase for the fiscal year 2026-27, held today virtually with Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair.

According to the Cabinet Division, the committee approved the procurement of one LNG cargo for delivery on August 11-12, 2026, at a quoted price of US$21.55 per MMBtu.
