SSC, equivalent exam results published, overall pass rate 62.25 percent

The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Monday. The results were announced at a ceremony held at 10 am in the conference room of the Ministry of Education, with Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon present.

The average pass rate across the 11 education boards—nine general education boards, the Madrasah Education Board and the Technical Education Board—stands at 62.25 percent.

A total of 116,676 examinees secured GPA-5.

Under the nine general education boards alone, the average pass rate is also 62.25 percent. This year, 106,009 examinees achieved GPA-5, down from 125,018 last year.

A total of 1,857,344 candidates sat for the SSC and equivalent examinations this year. Of them, 930,305 were male and 927,039 were female. Under the nine general education boards, 1,418,398 candidates appeared; 304,286 candidates took the exams under the Madrasah Education Board, and 134,660 under the Technical Education Board.

Students from 30,666 educational institutions appeared at 3,885 centres across the country.

Professor Dr Syed Aktaruzzaman, president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, said examinees can collect their results from their respective educational institutions as well as through the designated websites and SMS services.

Results will be available online, through educational institutions and via mobile SMS from noon onwards.

Examinees will also be able to collect their results from their respective educational institutions.

They can also collect their results through the common websites of the education boards: (https://eduboardresults.gov.bd) and (https://educationboardresults.gov.bd) as well as through the websites of the respective education boards.

Besides, examinees can obtain their results by sending an SMS from any mobile number to 16140 or 16222. 

To receive the result through SMS, they have to type: SSC first three letters of the board name roll number examination year and send it to 16140.
