3 more die of dengue

Three people have died of dengue in the country in the previous 24 hours up to 8 am on Monday. At the same time 805 dengue patients have been admitted to various hospitals across the country. 

This information was given in a dengue news release issued by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).  

Among the patients admitted to hospital because of dengue in the past 24 hours, 417 were in Dhaka division, 82 in Chittagong division, 65 in Mymensingh division, 7 in Rangpur division, 97 in Khulna division, 55 in Rajshahi division, 80 in Barishal division and two in Sylhet division.  

So far, this year, a total of 23,978 people have been admitted to hospitals across the country because of dengue. 

A total of 70 people have died from dengue this year, including the three recorded in the last 24 hours.  

In the past 24 hours, a total of 701 people have recovered and been discharged from hospital. 

So far this year, a total of 22,159 dengue patients have recovered from hospital and returned home. 

In 2025, a total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue in the country and a total of 413 people died of the disease.
