New policies for primary education management coming soon: State Minister

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has said that new policies are being formulated for the management of primary education and will be finalised within the next month.

He made the remarks while speaking as chief guest at a day-long training workshop titled “Management of Primary Education Class Activities, Monitoring, Accountability and Reform of Administrative Structure” held at the Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Barishal city on Sunday.

The minister said primary education activities will be managed and supervised under the new policies to ensure greater accountability among all stakeholders. 

He noted that members of the primary education community are working tirelessly to build a well-educated Bangladesh in line with the Prime Minister’s vision, and efforts are under way to rapidly implement the related commitments of the election manifesto.

Mirajul Islam Ukil, Director (Planning and Development) of the Directorate of Primary Education; and Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain Sarkar, Deputy Secretary (Administration-1), attended the workshop as special guests. 

Officers and staff from various levels of primary education were present. 

Nilufar Yasmin, Deputy Director of Primary Education, Barishal, presided over the programme.
