Prof Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian appointed new PSC Chairman

Professor Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian of Dhaka University's Law department has been appointed Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Thursday. 

According to the ministry’s notification, the President appointed Professor Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuiyan as PSC Chairman in the public interest under Article 138(1) of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Under Article 139(1) of the Constitution, he will serve as chairman for five years from the date he assumes office or until he reaches the age of 65, whichever comes earlier.
