4 more children die of measles and its symptoms

Three children have died of measles symptoms and one child with confirmed measles in the last 24 hours across the country. 

A total of 891 children have died of suspected measles since March 15. So far, 100 people have died of confirmed measles, bringing the total number of deaths to 991.

This information was given in the regular report on measles by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday.

It said that the number of suspected measles patients in the last 24 hours was 843 and the number of suspected measles patients from March 15 to September 5 was 163,105. 

The number of confirmed measles patients in the last 24 hours was 74, and the number of confirmed measles patients from March 15 to September 5 was 19,641.

It said that 143,214 people were admitted to hospitals with suspected measles from March 15 to September 5. At the same time, 137,921 people recovered and were discharged from the hospital.
