Altamash Kabir elected President of Dhaka Club

Altamash Kabir has been elected the President of Dhaka Club Limited for 2026-2027 term at the annual election of the club held on Saturday.

He secured 976 votes, defeating Shameem Hussain in a contest between two candidates for the office of President. Shameem Hussain got 392 votes.

Altamash Kabir is the Editor and Publisher of the Daily Sangbad, said a press release on Sunday.

In addition to the President, 10 members of the Board of Directors were also elected by the life and permanent members of Dhaka Club Limited.

The newly elected members of the Board of Directors are: Tarek Ahmed Adel, Osama Taseer, Tanvir Aziz Khan, Prof Jahangir Chowdhury, SM Hafiz Al Ashad, Nazma Akter, Md Aminul Hoque, Ambareen Islam, Abdur Rahman and Rabbani Jabbar.

Dhaka Club Limited congratulated the newly elected President and members of the Board of Directors and wished them every success in their tenure.
