3 more die from dengue

Three more people have died from dengue fever across the country in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,463 patients were admitted to hospitals. 

Among the deceased, one was from Dhaka North City, one from Mymensingh Division, and one from Rangpur Division.

This information was disclosed on Wednesday in a regular press release issued by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

According to DGHS data, a total of 133 people have died from dengue in the country so far this year, while 46,938 have been hospitalised.

On Tuesday, marked a record high for single-day dengue fatalities this year, with nine deaths reported. 

A record 1,571 patients were also admitted to hospitals on that day.
