ECNEC approves new Metro Rail project

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved a new project for the construction of MRT Line-5 (Southern) and revisions to the existing MRT Line-1 and MRT Line-5 (Northern) projects.

The estimated total cost of the project is  around Tk 2.5 lakh crore.

The approval came at an ECNEC meeting chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
