Gulshan OC Daud Hossain made OSD

Md. Daud Hossain, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gulshan Model Police Station under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), has been made OSD (Officer on Special Duty). 

This information was conveyed on Wednesday, through an official order signed by Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters and Administration) Md. Shahriar Ali on behalf of the DMP Commissioner.

‎The order states that Md. Daud Hossain, an unarmed police inspector serving in the DMP, has been attached to the Central Reserve Office of the Police Headquarters and Administration Division, DMP, effective from on Wednesday.

‎Daud Hossain was serving as the OC of Gulshan Model Police Station in the Gulshan Division. 

The official order specifies the Central Reserve Office of the Police Headquarters and Administration Division, DMP, Dhaka, as his new place of attachment.

‎Earlier on Friday, leaders and activists of the Awami League—whose activities have been banned—held a procession in Gulshan. The issue of the banned party’s procession in Gulshan was discussed during the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's monthly crime review meeting last Monday. The OC of Gulshan Police Station was made OSD shortly thereafter.
