99 judges transferred simultaneously

A total of 99 judges—including 44 District Judges, 26 Additional District Judges, 25 Joint District Judges, two Senior Civil Judges, and two Civil Judges serving in various courts—have been transferred.

Six separate notifications regarding these transfers were issued on Thursday, by the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, in consultation with the Supreme Court.

Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, the Ministry's Public Relations Officer, confirmed the matter to Daily Samakal.

Among them, 17 judges holding the rank of Joint District and Sessions Judge have been posted as Chief Legal Aid Officers. Additionally, several judges holding the ranks of District Judge and Additional District Judge have been transferred to legal positions within various ministries, the Law and Justice Division, the Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Election Commission Secretariat.
