Two more children die with measles symptoms

Two more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, raising the number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles symptoms to 1,065 from March 15 to September 22. 

According to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room issued on Tuesday, 1,257 suspected measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while the number of suspected cases stood at 182,292 from March 15 to September 22.

A total of 92 confirmed measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 20,738 since March 15.

From March 15 to September 22, a total of 160,980 suspected measles patients were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 154,510 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Two children died with suspected measles in the past 24 hours, while a total of 964 children have died from suspected measles since March 15.

No one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 101 children have died from confirmed measles.
