DMP bars rooftop celebrations on 31st night

No celebrations are allowed even on the rooftops on the night of December 31 to celebrate the New Year, said DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia. 

The DMP boss said this while briefing media on security measures ahead of the New Year at the DMP media centre on Saturday.

"No outdoor celebration is also allowed," he said adding that strict measures will be taken ahead of the thirty first night.  

He said the city dwellers have to inform DMP about any indoor programmes so that the law enforcers can provide safety to the people.
