BNP leader Shamsuzzaman Dudu held

Detectives arrested BNP Vice-chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu from the capital on Monday.

Detectives picked up Dudu from Segunbagicha area while he was going to join the party’s human chain programme in front of the Jatiya Press Club protesting its chief Khaleda Zia's imprisonment, said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Abdul Baten, joint commissioner of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the matter to Samakal. 

After arrest Dudu was taken to Detective Branch office in the city.
