Quota protesters postpone decision to boycott exams

The quota reform protesters on Saturday postponed their decision of boycotting examinations at all universities and colleges across the country considering Ramadan and session jam following the strike.
However, they will continue to boycott classes until the government publishes a gazette abolishing the quota system in government jobs.
Hasan Al Mamun, convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad, made the announcement at a press conference in front of the central library on Dhaka University campus.
On May 14, the quota protesters started boycotting classes and examinations in all universities and colleges across the country for an indefinite period.
Earlier, they gave the government an ultimatum to publish a gazette abolishing quota system in government jobs as per the Prime Minister’s announcement by May 13.
