5 Patuakhali Razakars get death

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has sentenced five war criminals of Patuakhali district to death for their involvement in crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
A three-member bench of the International Crimes Tribunal, led by Justice Md Shahinur Islam, announced the verdict on Monday.
The death row convicts are: Ishaq Sikder, Abdul Gani Haolader, Abdul Awal alias Moulabi Aowal, Abdus Sattar Peyda and Solayman Mridha. They are residents of different villages in Sadar upazila of the district.
On May 30, the tribunal kept the case CAV [Curia Advisari Vult, a Latin ... be delivered anytime] after concluding hearing the closing arguments.
The five were accused of killing 17 people, committing 15 rapes, vandalism, arson, abduction and torture in the Itabaria village area of Patuakhali during the country's Liberation War in 1971.
