Private car plunges into Hatirjheel lake

A private car plunged into Hatirjheel lake in the city after breaking the railing of a bridge adjacent to police plaza early Saturday.    

The incident occurred around 6:00am after the driver of the car lost control over the steering.  

Md. Selim, a Sub-inspector of Hatirjheel Police Station, said only the driver was in the vehicle during the incident and he sustained injuries.    

The driver was admitted to hospital for treatment, he said adding that firefighters are working to salvage the car.   

Now, it is being investigated that how the private car had lost control, added the SI.
