8 held for ‘spreading rumours’ over election

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested eight people allegedly for spreading rumours on social media over tomorrow’s national election.

The elite force arrested them from Maghbazar and Mowchak areas in Dhaka city last night after conducting drives. 

ASP Mizanur Rahman, senior assistant director of RAB's media and legal wing, said the arrestees are spreading rumour on social media over December 30 general election.
